Kenya, Vietnam, Uganda: Cookstove Emissions Performance Survey

Under the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves (GACC), Berkeley Air began conducting the Cookstove Emissions Performance Survey: Assessments of Promising Technologies in Priority Countries (CEPS). The primary objective of this project was to fill key gaps in the current knowledgebase of stove emissions performance by performing in-home, real-world emissions tests. Special focus was given to promising new technologies such as forced air stoves and liquid/gas fuels. Performance data on the relevant baseline stove(s) and one to three new/intervention technologies was collected from mainly three GACC priority countries (Kenya, Vietnam, and Uganda).
