Uganda: Impact of Rocket Stove on Emissions of Greenhouse Gases and Health-Damaging Pollutants

In collaboration with Columbia University’s Earth Institute, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and the Millennium Promise Organization, Berkeley Air evaluated the impact of a StoveTec rocket wood stove on cookstove emissions compared to the traditional open fire. The study took place in Ruhiira, Uganda, one of the Millennium Village project sites. The project was funded by USAID as the first field assessment in Africa of a stove intervention’s impact on greenhouse gas and health-damaging pollutant emissions.
