Berkeley Air, Colorado State University, and the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) are working on a collaborative effort to build field testing capacity in the household energy sector. To that end, the team coordinated and conducted a workshop in Beijing, China, followed by a site visit to Shandong Province. These and upcoming activities are specifically focused on pellet-burning stoves, which are of interest in China given their potential to displace coal and unprocessed biomass and thus mitigate contributions to household and ambient pollution.
