UCB Particle and Temperature Sensor (UCB-PATS)

The UCB-PATS is a small, portable, battery-operated (9 volt), datalogging particle monitor for use in indoor environments. It uses a photoelectric (light-scattering) detector and is capable of measuring PM2.5 concentrations down to 25 ?g/m3. The UCB-PATS is launched and downloaded from a computer using software which was also developed by the Kirk Smith Research Group at the University of California-Berkeley.
