Data Analysis and Reporting
Members of our team have recently produced six journal articles from our pioneering work on monitoring of The Shell Foundation’s Breathing Space Program (Household Energy and Health) in India and Mexico, which will appear in a special issue of Energy for Sustainable Development in June 2007:
Smith, K.R., Edwards, R., Karve, A., Masera, O., Patara, P., Shields Naumoff, K., 2007. Monitoring and evaluation of improved cookstove programs for indoor air quality and stove performance: Conclusions from the Household Energy and Health project. Energy for Sustainable Development, June
Dutta, K., Naumoff Shields, K., Edwards, R.D., Smith, K.R., 2007. Impact of Improved Biomass Cookstoves on Indoor Air Quality near Pune, India. Energy for Sustainable Development, June.
Chengappa, Bajpai, R, Gusain, P.P.S., Edwards, R.D., Naumoff Shields, K., Smith, K.R., 2007. Impact of Improved Cookstoves on Indoor Air Quality in the Bundelkhand Region in India. Energy for Sustainable Development, June.
Masera, O., Edwards, R.D., Armendariz, C., Berrueta, V., Johnson, M., Rojas-Bracho, L., Riojas-Rodríguez, H., Smith, K.R., 2007. Impact of “Patsari” improved cookstoves on Indoor Air Quality in Michoacan, Mexico. Energy for Sustainable Development, June.
Bailis, R., Berrueta, V., Chengappa, V., Dutta, K., Masera, O., Still, D., Smith, K.R., 2007. Performance Testing as a Tool to Monitor Improved Stove Interventions: Experiences of the Shell Foundation's Household Energy and Health Project. Energy for Sustainable Development, June.
Edwards, R.D., Hubbard, A., Khalakdina, A., Pennise, D., Smith, K.R., 2007. Design considerations for field studies of changes in indoor air pollution due to improved stoves. Energy for Sustainable Development, June.
We have also pioneered modeling methods to estimate the health benefits of household energy interventions based on indoor air pollution monitoring data.
